About Hekima Centre

Hekima Center is a ministry located in the Central Business District of Nairobi, Kenya. The ministry focus has been on empowering people with the wisdom required to influence and affect their spheres for the Kingdom of God. As such, the ministry also has a strong marketplace focus.

Every believer has an area of calling or influence that God has graced them with. When Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, they were all given a ‘land’ or an inheritance to occupy. For them to successfully occupy this land, they needed to drive out the giants in the land.

Apart from serving the local Kenyan community, Hekima Center hosts a French Community that is about
90% Congolese. This community is also composed of French speakers from Rwanda, Comoros among other French-speaking nations. The French Church (as we call it) has been in existence for over 5 years.

In 2022, Hekima Center expanded its wings and started a fellowship in Goma, DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). A number of members of the French Church have relocated back to DRC, and especially Goma, through the years. Our goal is to develop this into a center that hosts a church and other initiatives that will impact the community.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the accepted instructions of Scriptures as originally given are verbally inspired by God and are inerrant in the original writings. The Scriptures are infallible, inerrant, and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13). We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to Divine righteousness (Romans 5:12,18).

Hekima Staff

With over 20 years of ministry experience, Arnold Orono is the Lead Pastor of Hekima Centre. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Communications Engineering, and a Masters in Leadership. He is married to Christine, and they have two daughters, Amy & Ruby.

She serves as an administrator of the ministry. In her former life Grace was a Banker. She has one daughter and two grand children.

Also known as Jimmy, he serves the ministry on a part-time basis. He is the worship leader of the ministry. Outside of the ministry, Jimmy runs a studio that does music and video production.

Also known as JR, she serves the ministry on a part-time basis. Previously, she has worked in the market place as an administrator and a HR Officer.

Eric wears a number of hats. He is the IT guru, sound technician and graphics designer.
